Counseling Overview
Professional counselors provide confidential counseling services to you and your eligible household family members for a wide range of concerns. Counseling services are available for individuals, couples, and families.
Your EAP experience begins with an initial assessment, which typically takes about one hour and may be conducted in person or via teletherapy. Following the assessment, the counselor may begin short-term counseling services or, if your needs require a different level or type of care, provide a referral to another qualified service provider.
EAP counseling is designed to address brief, solution-focused needs rather than long-term treatment. If a referral is recommended, the EAP counselor will assist you in identifying appropriate resources and will work to locate services that are either covered by your healthcare plan or available at an affordable cost.
Aware
Our unique mindfulness program, known as Aware, offers an alternative and holistic approach to supporting participants who are dealing with life-related stress, pain, and challenges in maintaining focus and concentration. It’s also designed for individuals seeking to enhance their awareness and commitment to intentional living.
Balancy App
Balancy is a NEAP smartphone app designed to help users easily access their Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and wellness benefits. Through Balancy, users can connect with counselors by phone, video, or instant message, and also access a variety of self-help tools and wellness resources, all in one convenient platform.
Computerized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (cCBT)
cCBT is our case manager-assisted self-help program designed to assist individuals dealing with mild to moderate anxiety, stress, and depression. This online program offers a comprehensive approach by providing education, suggesting techniques, and offering tasks specifically tailored to guide participants toward positive therapeutic outcomes.
Couch Time Check-In
Couch Time Check-Ins are annual or biannual preventive mental health check-ups where you have the opportunity to discuss your emotional state in a safe, confidential environment.
Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD)

To protect your well-being, NEAP allows you or an eligible dependent to use a taxi or rideshare service and receive reimbursement for up to $50 when needed.

Each training provides psychoeducation to help you understand the science of stress and other emotions that impact work performance and mental well-being. Each training is recorded and available for replay. We also offer onsite training to directly support your team.
